Sometimes LA sometimes NY!! part 2

Almost 3 months past since I moved to new NY. Time flies so fast and now I am a New Yorker. It was so hard on me in the beginning and I even hated NY but now I think I started to adapt the new life and I can say that I finally liked NY!! My first blog in this class was about how confused I was when I moved to NYC and now I have mixed feeling about which place that I see as home!

Of course to me home will always be Los Angeles so from the beginning of the semester I booked the tickets to visit my friend on their spring break and I made sure that it will be after my midterms period. Although suddenly the plan didn’t go accordingly and there was a midterm that got delayed to the time I was planning to go to Cali but I did it!

So let me tell you about visiting a place you used to live in!!

First, you will call all your friends to meet and this is what I did but unfortunately I couldn’t meet them all because of the short time . Second, you will Visit the places that you liked the most while living there. Therefore, I went to Santa Monica, Walk of Fame, Venice beach and went to the restaurants that I like the most in LA. Third, you will enjoy the good weather so I rented a convertible car for few days just to drive under the sun and let me tell you this it was the best part of all. Finally, of course you have to go to VEGAS. Me and 3 of my friends went there for the weekend. What was so good about it is the weather. It was hot and sunny in the morning and cool at night so we had the best of our stay because of the weather.

Was a very pleasant week though there were a lot of work to do for my classes but I think working while having fun is always a good idea!!

However, what was different this time is that I know it’s not home anymore. I felt that I belong to NY. Maybe changing is not bad after all!

Change is GOOOD! I’m happy and also jealous lol that you travelled so much, don’t every stop exploring till every little corner of the world feels like home, and then explore some more 🙂

    Ghadeer girl!!
Change always needs time. I see what you are feeling because I had experienced it when I moved from Virginia to New York. It was not easy. You lived long period of time in a place that made you feel that you belong to it, then you left. I believe when you graduate and leave NY going to Saudi Arabia, you feel the same feeling again.
