Logan…more like Lo-gone

Firstly, this post doesn’t have any SPOILERS. You might think the title gives it up, but no, that is just in reference to the heart ailing fact that Hugh Jackman, will not play the epic and his most successful role of  Logan.

Hugh was first cast for the role of Wolverine in the Bryan Singer’s X-men(2000) and has reprised his role in 2003’s X2- X-men United, 2006’s X-men: The Last Stand, 2009 prequel X-men Origins:Wolverine, cameoed as Wolverine in 2011’s X-men : The First Class,2013’s The Wolverine, 2014’s sequel X-men: Days of Future Past and the 2016’s follow up X-men: Apocalypse. In 2015, Jackman announced that the 2017 sequel to The Wolverine, Logan, was the final time that he would play the role. Although…. some fan theories suggest that Hugh would bless us with wolverine in the future Avenger series.

So enough about the saga, lets talk about the action packed, emotional roller-coaster and epic kick-ass claw action experience that logan delivered. The story picks up in 2029 until where, the human authorities along with ex-military has manged to kill or neutralize the mutants around the world including the X-men. In midst of all the mutant killing, logan successfully managed to protect Professor Xavier, who is having some-kind of neuron disease, which causes seizure in the most powerful mutant brain. Logan has resorted to driving a Chrysler limousine and buys drugs off-market for Prof. X.  Through all his subdued mental consciousness, Professor manages to communicate to a young mutant kid who is seeking help to the safe and secure settlement called the Eden. Logan however, has lost hope and has given up on the dream of human-mutant co-coexistence,  but the professor is still positive and headstrong to help the next generation of mutants thrive.

The movie is not so serious through out the length of it. The young mutant is very aggressive and vengeance oriented which reflects Logan’s young life, which the professor rubs in sarcastically, as an old wise guy.

Without giving up on any spoiler details, the movies hold up strong and Hugh delivers a very powerful performance worthy of the  last wolverine movie.

Important side note, don’t be late for the screening as you wouldn’t want to miss the adventurous extended trailer for Kong – Skull Island and the ever so hilarious next  Deadpool movie, trending at #1.

I know…. I have so much more to share about it but it would in someway be a spoiler. I’ll say one thing though … in trailers Logan is truly what they say in comics “Old man Logan” but that has no way cut short the action.
