Take you walk in the Metropolitan Museum

For the Metropolitan Museum of vision from the fifth grade seen a book called “From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler .” The book inside the little hero away from home, in the Metropolitan Museum of the stay, so asleep queen bed, and occasionally can make a wish vast pool fishing a drop of coins; life is comfortable. So at that time I can imagine so happy.

The Metropolitan Museum were located in New York’s most famous Manhattan Fifth Avenue, the museum’s website guides visitors from New York to every corner of the museum is very clear. Institutions can take a camera (taking pictures with the need to turn off the flash and fill light, use a tripod to line up the museum’s tripod license on Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Metropolitan Museum of more than 330 million pieces of the collection, divided into 18 exhibition areas. If you want to browse carefully, it is impossible to see all the groups in one day or even days. So, I suggest choosing one or two areas of interest or participating in the nature of museums all day long.

Our trip starts from the Egyptian Pavilion on the first floor. Inside the museum, there is a brick temple from Egypt.
When we went to, just to see a student group in front of the temple to listen to the instructor talked about this historical background. The Temple of Dendur. In the 1960s, the Aswan High Dam was built in Egypt, and many famous cultural monuments were submerged in the reservoir. This about 3500 years of history, a small temple, the Egyptian government is unable to rescue, it sent to the US government. In 1968, the United States in the Metropolitan Museum of an indoor hall by the original appearance restored Dan Temple.

We visited the museum for five hours. In addition to the Egyptian Pavilion, we also went to the European painting exhibition.
From the big stairs to the second floor is the main show. To the Information desk to plan from the 19th century to the early 20th century, the idea of the show.

At the moment you must also visit the tired. The museum has shops selling different souvenirs. I really like bookmarks and a museum guidebook. So, I bought a bookmark and a book to end my trip to the museum.
