Although winter is technically over according to the calendar, the temperatures remain stagnant, with no sign of sunshine. Since living in New York, it’s boggled my mind that April and May are in-between months. The weather is never consistent and it’s frankly, frustrating.
Usually throughout these months, it is chilly in the morning, and by the afternoon we take off our coats, only to put them on again in the late evening. This makes no sense. I like consistency. Don’t you?
Although I am complaining now, I know I should be grateful because once June comes, there is no stopping the heat and humidity. Sometimes I don’t know what’s worse-the rough winter or the rough summer. What is worse for you?
I feel like temperatures in New York are always extreme. The winter is never ending and the summer is just hell on concrete. I know this sounds like I am complaining but I’m really just venting because it’s raining today and my umbrella broke.
However, one of the greatest things about summer in New York is all the fun things that there are to do. I am looking forward to all the free concerts and activities that the city puts on. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is attend Central Park and the SummerStage shows.
Although the weather is tough now, I do look forward to not wearing a coat and attending free concerts.
