On February-2016, I got two checks from Irvine Company. Irvine Company is a company I rented an apartment from. The checks were for my security deposit. The problem was they wrote my name and my wife name on the checks. What I always do is I deposited the check by using online banking mobile. I deposited the checks into my account in the next day and I faced a problem. The problem was that they rejected one check and the other one was deposited in my account. The problem after 4 hours the one check they already deposit it was rejected because my account is under my name just. I have to add my wife name in my account to use the checks otherwise I cannot. I add my wife’s name to my account but the problem my account now is negative because when the bank deposit one of the two checks I make one transaction to another bank, and because the bank rejected the check, my account became negative. After several attempts with the customer service on the bank, they started to help me.
This problem still in my account for 5 days. The problem was every day the bank charged me a fee because my account is negative. After that, I did not have any cash money and all my money was in the bank account, and I cannot use my account because it is negative. I think I have to do something to fix this problem. I was chained. I con not do anything because I do not have money now. I made a call to Claim department on the bank to fix the problem. I waited for long time on the phone to answer my call and at the end one person answered me and he was nice with me. He understood my problem and he tried to fix the problem. He was quiet for 20 minutes. After that, he told me the bank will fix everything today. I told him to waive the fee the bank already charged me because it is not my mistake and I am not rich to pay the fees. It was not short period of time to fix my problem with the bank. At the end my account went back to normal and the bank re-deposited the two checks to my account. It was a good lesson for me for the future.
