We all grow up with our own dreams of success. A list of goals we wish to accomplish by the time we reach a certain age or point in our lives. But sometimes there are issues that just keep holding us back. I think the number one thing is fear. Something that we all must realize, is that fear has no place in the life of an ambitious being. Fear is a disease whose only mission is to mentally cripple the mind of the person it finds itself settling into.
Fear is also a paralyzer- it takes every good idea that comes into your head and makes sure that it stays there. No matter how much you want to put it into action it can’t move.
Fear is what stores the idea of failure in your mind and continually associates it with negativity. What we may fail to realize, is not all failure is bad. Sometimes, it can even be said that it’s meant to be. It allows us to realize where we made mistakes and helps us come correct the next time. ( Yes next time, because ambitious people do not give up! )
“When you take risks you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.” – Ellen Degeneres
Failure is one of the most important lessons in life that people have to go through at some point. It helps embody characteristics that will be needed WHEN the goal of success has been reached. Tougher skin is developed which makes it easier to take criticism and respond to it creatively. We learn resilience. We gain the strength to fall and get back up to fight for the success.
What are you so afraid of ?
There is no better way to live your life other than chasing your dreams while doing it.
Figure out what you want to do and then go do it. But always remember that success is not mystical or magical, it is the reward for taking proper steps in life. So do not just think that it will be handed to you.
