With 2016 just around the corner; 24 days to be precise, its that time of the year where most of us look back and reflect to see what all that we have faced, achieved, lost, changed, and gone through the entire 2015.So having analyzed myself these are my 5 resolutions for 2015:
- Learn More: We all have heard of famous quotes such as ‘knowledge is wealth”knowledge is power’. And believe it or not this is absolutely 100% true. So i have taken it upon myself to take efforts to read more , learn more , be more curious about everything around me and talk to more people and learn everything possible about them. Because every person has a story of their own. And we can learn and be inspired from other peoples experiences. There is so much happening around us! so much to learn from so be a sponge and absorb all that you can. As my mother always taught me, no matter wherever you are, you may loose everything that you own but your own intelligence; that is one thing that is yours and no one can take away.
2 Make kindness a priority One act of kindness a day. That is all that it takes to make the world a better place. Smile at your doorman, your cab driver, your watch man. You may never know what never know , they probably would be having a bad day, and your one act of gratitude may just give them what they need. Help a blind person cross the road, feed the birds, volunteer to read for the blind once a week. One good deed! it wont cost you anything , except for a little bit of your time. This inturn will make you feel good too! try it , its my guarantee to you 🙂
3.Make yourself uncomfortable ” Great success is only achieved if you get outside your comfort zone” I came across this lesson from a blog that i read a few days ago and could not agree with it more. Its time to get out from the comfort of your home, your people, your city and go out and explore. There is so much outside that you have no idea of . Get out of your oyster , because that is the only way you will see the real world , face the challenges and conquer it too! There are so many of us who have left our homes and traveled half way across the globe to pursue our education and career in the united states. Definitely this struggle of ours will reap its benefits sooner or later!
