We teach girls to shrink themselves, to make them smaller. We say to girls, you can have ambitions, but not too much; you should aim to be successful but not too successful, otherwise you will threaten the man.
Because I’m a female, I’m expected to aspire to marriage, I’m expected to make my life choices always keeping in mind that marriage is most important. Now marriage can be a source of joy, and love and mutual support. But why we teach girls to aspire to marriage and we don’t teach boys the same?
We rise girls to see each other as competitors, not for jobs or for accomplishments which i think can be a good thing, but for the attention of men. We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way that boys are.
Feminist: a person who believes in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes.

As the Chinese proverb holds, Women hold up half of the sky. This is quoted all over the world. Recently, it came true in Canada, thanks to the new prime minister Justin Trudeau.
On last Wednesday (10/4/2015), the Canada’s new prime minister announced that half of his cabinet are female –15 powerful women. In the United Stated, women occupied 25% of cabinet, while in United Kingdom its 33%. When journalists asked him why he created a Parity Cabinet, he said because it’s 2015 !!!
His supporters complemented that, Canada is a great country with 35 million women, it’s not hard to find 15 excellent women from them. And these women are going to be in charge of Department of Judiciary, Health, International Trade, Employment and Labor and other vital departments.
According to a research, gender equality can strongly promote social development, especially in economic and technological areas. Now, international communities and individuals are looking forward to see the great development of Canada, includes me.
