Last night while I was lying on bed, a question was circling around my head which I couldn’t get rid of. Does the universe exist because of human beings?
You may say, certainly the universe itself exists. Human being lives in this substantive time and space. A hypothesis, however, may break this mind-set.
Let us assume that there is a parallel universe named A. There are
galaxies, stars, planets and various contents in this universe A while only one thing is missing, living organisms. There are no intelligent creatures in this universe A. In other words, no one could possibly observe this universe. So how do you prove this universe is real, or objectively persists?
If you can not prove a universe without human observing truly exists, can we come to the conclusion that our universe is not universe A because our world is determinated to have living creatures evolved who consequently and subjectively accept the existence of this universe? Does the certainty of having intelligent creatures like human beings in this universe make it meaningful and thus truly existed?
