Everyday just like an old videocassette, hit play, rewind and repeat. We similarly settle in the vicious cycle of life, looking for the familiar and leaving dreams in the back burner. If we think, the only obstacle between your dreams and you, is fear. Therefore, Actions will overcome your terrors, not your conscious. Michelle Poler challenged herself, and embarked in the journey of living and making a habit 100 days without fear.

After leaving a stable, boring life, She decided to step out of her comfort
zone. The first footstep was to take on the challenge. That was just the beginning. First she made a list of 40 fears, and along the way they extended  by the suggestions of her fans. She started to see opportunities on ongoing events, likewise. Some of the fears are:

Dance like nobody is watching

Eat spiciness food

Jump off a plane

Get drunk

Hold a tarantula

She epitomizes many of the fears we inherently have as humans. Many others basically are an encouragement to halt monotony. All of the dares were measured by smiley faces to show how fearful she felt before, during  and after the challenge.

Most challenges we can relate very easily by the terror or simply excitement to be over, and cross it out of our list. Poler became viral by the day 46; it wasn’t planned to happen, she has expressed in many interviews. Her goal has been to live life to the fullest in order to know better herself and her limits.

Would you change your paradigms to embrace opportunities? I personally believe this experiments it’s a “must” to incorporate in our lives. We should forget our comfort zone and start living without hesitation. As William james said, “believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.” Let’s simply embrace our self-discovery as I mentioned on my previous post, and let your heart accelerate for the unknown… Would start leaving your 100 days without fear? What fear would you like to overcome? Comment on the section bellow.

I am really afraid of flying, and I really thought it would be better when I moved to New York – because now I have to fly a lot. But it’s actually getting worse. I am still flying, I just hope I won’t stop!

is there a place that you have ever dream of going? think of a bigger picture, someday you might get to that place and be pleased. The joy can actually assuage your fear.

what have you done to confront your fear? I have a friend that shares the same trauma , however she’s started from minimal heights to bigger. If you think there are breathtaking places of big height , and that would be gratifying for you on your journey to overcome your fear.
