Wi Fi Scam

It goes on and on. Many will have yet another potentially dangerous situation that many are currently setting them selves up for.  It is a no brainer how many are always looking for something for free.  This generally will involve more of the younger generation. Since this is always a on going thing by trying to get something for free, but they may get also more than you did not pay for.

It has been brought forth on how many can be scammed into releasing personal and credit information unknowingly. There was a test conducted only last week on how this is such a serious problem.  Free could be trouble!  The experiment conducted was a individual set up a so called Free Wi-Fi and it was noted that thousands of individuals hooked into this in the metro area within hours.  It then went further and described if you subscribed for $1.99 you could have 24/7 access to this Wi-Fi site.  It was also shown that thousands took the offer.  Now if you are ready for this, it was only an experiment to see and show how easily someone can obtain your credit card credentials and go to work on it before you know anything.  The money was never taken, but alerted them on how they were potentially scammed into credit card fraud.

I hear you Gab, but most times, it’s not the young ones that fall for these scam but the mature ones. For the free wifi – thanks, that was a big eye opener.

That is true, you would figure an adult would be somewhat alert on this, but when that word free comes into play everyone has a weakness for that. Just have to be aware that this is continually happening to everyone.
