Has anyone ever watched that show Dish Nation? It’s basically clips from several different radio shows broadcast on TV sort of like TMZ. Anyway, I stumbled upon this program yesterday and they were discussing the Kimye baby. Rumor has it they are thinking of naming the baby North whether it’s a boy or girl. I suppose they can name their child whatever they choose, but North? Really? So, I started thinking about all the other non-traditional baby names that celebs are naming their kids. I’m all for being unique and I get the need to distinguish yourself, but sometimes I think they are just doing the most. So, I searched for unique celeb baby names and here are some that are cute and some not so much:
Blue Ivy (Jay-Z & Beyonce) – I love this one probably because I’m a die hard Jay-Z fan and I like Bey too.
Denim and Diezel – ok, I guess
Apple – I can see this one having some cutesy appeal
Moon Unit – seriously?
Moxie Crime Fighter – no, really this was on the list
Pilot Inspektor – enough said
So what do you think? Or do you know any other unusual baby names that are out there? Sound off…

I think that having a unique baby name is great but some of those are definitely pushing it! I mean pilot inspektor…really?! Hopefully they came up with a good nickname for that kid because I would not want to be called that for my whole life!
I agree unique names are great, but some of those names are just ridiculously unique.
That’s so funny! I totally tweeted something about celebrities and their baby names. I can’t remember what had triggered me to tweet that. It’s so true though, yea like Blue Ivy is cute and unique but all these other names not so much. Don’t people understand how brutal kids are in elementary schools these days? Lol. I would not want my kid to be made fun of because of a name because I was just crazy. Too much!
Yes I could see teasing as a problem with some of those names. I guess the parent has to decide between unique or normal. Somewhere in the middle might be good.
I feel so bad for these children but at the same time I don’t! They will definitely either be made fun of for life or some of the greatest genius’s of the world. Like this little kid named Moses …Come on you know he is destined for something ha or he just won’t live up to his name…what a bummer.
Ha! Yes in his case, the name definitely could work out in his favor.
I always think about these things but the truth of the matter is those children with those names wont have to worry about every applying for a job because they are Kims kid or Jays kid they have nothing to worry about! Not to say that these names aren’t absolutely absurd but hey!
