Yesterday night I went to the concert of an English music group. The band is named METRONOMY, and is compose of three men and a woman. They are coming from England, and have started to play music together in 1999. Since this date they have released only three albums and became really famous in Europe thanks to the second one: “Nights Out”.
Their music is kind of a mix of electronic music and rock, and has the particularity to really points up the music and not the singer. During their concert, the music is way much louder than the voices of the singers to give to the music a real impact on the audience. The band has also the particularity to have a round light above their shirts. It is lighting depending of the beat of the music. Those lights are almost the only effects on stage, they don’t use change the light of the stage or try to make special effects like some artists do. The concert was taking place at The Irving Plaza in New York City. It is a nightclub, which can contain 1,200 persons. The room was totally full, and all the tickets were sold out one month before the D-date, so people there were really excited to be here. The show was very cool; I could really enjoy it because I have succeeded to be at the front row, so nobody could be taller than me!
They have played famous songs as The Bay, A thing for Me, The Look, Radio Ladio or Heartbreaker, so everyone, even those who were not big fans, were glad to came!
