Collecting hobby

Lots of people collect things as a hobby. People enjoy keeping collection of certain items based on a particular interest such as stamps, antiques, erasers etc.  My dad love collecting key chains that would represent the places wherever he travelled. I collect shoes. I got my little shoe-collecting hobby developed after I went to college, though I own almost 200 pairs of shoes now. My dad never understood why I have to have so many shoes. “You’re not a centipede, “said my dad, “How could you ever get chance to wear each one of those?” I don’t understand why he has to have so many souvenirs either, at least mine is wearable.  To my dad, three pairs of shoes are enough – one for work/ formal occasion, one for sport, and one for raining days. However, women would never feel satisfied with having only one style for different occasion.  Changing any one factor of three (silhouette, color and fabric) that determines a fashion item would create a new style for women to increase their wardrobe size. Here’re some good reasons I found for myself explaining why I love collecting shoes:
1. Shoe to an outfit is like sauce to a cuisine, or eyebrows to a person. It might not be the leading role, but it’s critical and could turn everything into a disaster if without it or when it goes wrong.
2. Unlike clothes when our weight changes from time to time we may not fit in our old clothes, for shoes we can always fit in the same size.
3.  Compared to those plastic surgery that make people taller by broken their leg bones (The surgery is illegal and has originally been used for people have uneven leg length), wearing a heel is totally a pain-free way for shorter people to gain some height.
