Whether or not if you ‘re planning to win a prize or trick or treat, creative costume is the climax of the Halloween day. Believe it or not I plan for my Halloween costume 1 year in advance and I make it myself.

Firstly, I love halloween day the most plus being here in New York on halloween day is to die for, WHY? Because celebrating halloween in New York is really fun and challenge. Especially, in my workplace, a Thai restaurant in Manhattan, I would say everyone here love to create and make their own halloween costume which is really funny, cheap and creative.

Last two years, I wore a towel, slipper, a small towel covered my hair and I had fake blood in the middle of my body and on my legs, so I spent only $5 for a bottle of  the fake blood and the rest I used my old one which was ready to throw away. On the top of that is my concept ! it was ” I am myself , I haven’t died yet but I was gangbanged before and they stole all my clothes, so I have to wear a towel!” I got lots of compliments from people on that day and of course I won $50 prize for my tricky tacky creative from my workplace.

Last year, I was a thai high school drug addicted but it wasn’t really successful with Americans but Thais YES. I bought a high school uniform from Thailand for $10 and I bought a white cream for $2, so I spent only $12 on my costume YEAH!

This coming up halloween I’m thinking of being a garbage or a drag queen. What do you guys think who I should be?  Have you ever DIY your halloween costume? Let’s share some of your DIY ideas.

P.S. I attach some of my friends DIY costume’ pictures here too, HAVE FUN!

Great post ! I am so excited to be in NY for Halloween. I was there two years ago, went to Greenwich Village for the parade, it was great and people had amazing costumes. I have to think about my costume, I don’t have any ideas yet but I’m sure it will be a great night!
